It’s that time of year again–so I looked up how to make my two well yam or sweet potato pie–with sugar on the one hand and stevia on the other (my husband cannot tolerate stevia, and I can’t tolerate sugar). The small amount of maple syrup used on both sides of the “well” is not the best thing for me, but not the worst either since I almost never have it otherwise. Enjoy!

2-Well Yam Pie: gluten, lactose and histamine free
both with and without sugar (thus the 2-wells!)

I published this recipe last year in another blog of mine, but figure its just as good this year on Eos: The Creative Context. Since hey its Thanksgiving after all.
Its gluten, lactose and histamine free, and very tasty!
Pie Ingredients and Recipe:
. peel and chop one medium largish yam (or sweet potato) to make roughly 3 1/2 cups chopped yam–put in blender
. melt 1/2 cup coconut oil on low slowly
. put one cup water into blender
Grind 2 tbsp. flax and 1 tbsp. chia, and then add to the blender
. add 1/4 cup maple syrup to blender (or optionally put in one chopped apple instead)

As contemporary witnesses to these events, it is difficult to objectify ourselves enough to understand what the full implications of this victory means. You can probably add more, but here are a few implications, off the top of my head: 1) Israel’s Yinon plan to subdivide Arab countries while creating internecine doctrinal struggles to occupy them, allowing the Zionist anaconda to continue its slow, progressive ingestion of Palestine, is over, in part because 2) Syria, Hezbollah, Iraq and Iran, far from being weakened, have all become stronger militarily; 3) far from being shut out of Syria and Lebanon, Iran is more intrinsically enmeshed with Syria and Hezbollah than before Israel and the US began their crimes against humanity; 4) the Saudis are done, cooked. Time to stick a fork in it. How long it will take the kingdom to completely collapse nobody knows, but it doesn’t really matter, because its usefulness as an ally for the US and Israel is done, because its government has lost whatever credibility it had with its own people, as well as its neighbors; 5) as a result of that, Wahhabism is cooked as well. Yes, there will be terrorist attacks in the Middle East and Europe and a lot of these thugs will be sent to Afghanistan as mercenaries for the CIA to use in its war for control of heroin production there, but that is another issue, of less momentous consequence; 6) the US has been shown that it can be backed down and shut down militarily; 7) the Russians have dealt a major blow to the armament industries of the US, one of the few surviving growth sectors of the economy. Not only are Russian weapons superior; they are much cheaper and easier to operate; 8) the migrant flow to Europe will be reduced, at least from the ME if not from north Africa, reducing nationalistic pressures on the corrupt conservative plutocracies of the EU; the credibility of the US and neocons undercut, the governments of the EU are going to be working hard to increase trade with Russia and China, regardless of what the US wants; 9) strengthened financially and militarily, Russia has every reason to keep the price of oil low, thereby hastening the day when the Saudis have no choice but to start trading oil to the Chinese in Yaun, thereby finally sinking the petrodollar, which is a major source of deficit financing of US wars. The result is that the day when the US can no longer afford its many foreign bases and imperialistic empire is now clearly drawing closer; 10) the Israelis have lost credibility in the ME and Europe, no doubt about it. They have been seen to be supporters of terrorism and an ally of Wahhabism in Saudi Arabia by all Arabs. The result is that the Boycott, Divest, and Sanction movement against Israel is going to pick up steam, eventually resulting in economic strangulation of the corrupt apartheid theocracy; 11) the likelihood of a nuclear confrontation has actually receded, because it becomes more evident every day, due to the nature of Russia’s weapons and the quality of its military, that there is no viable road to victory; 12) an attack on Iran is even less likely than it was before, because Iran is stronger, more battle-tested, and now has Russia as a close ally. When Iran joins the SCO an attack on it will become even less likely; 13) the Kurds are done. They are surrounded by countries that have agreed to the territorial sovereignty of Syria and Iraq. It really doesn’t matter what the Kurds, Israelis or US do; Syria, Iraq, Iran, and Turkey control all borders for Kurd imports and exports. They have no leverage. The Kurds as a tool for the US and Israel are done even if none of the three have realized it yet. 14) The Turks have clearly cast their lot with Russia and the One Belt One Road. The US and the EU have as clearly shot themselves not just in the foot, but in the ass. It is only a matter of time before Turkey will leave NATO, meaning, among other things, that US and Israeli radar will be out of there. This is quite likely to precipitate the collapse of NATO, which is already a hollow joke. All of these factors mean that while the US and Israel can still send drones, special forces and whatnot to Africa and other vulnerable areas of the world, the game in the ME is done. It’s been won by Syria, Hezbollah, Russia, Iran, Iraq and yes, even lowlife, nefarious Turkey. Essentially, moderate Arabism has won over the Wahhabis and neocon zionists. It’s a beautiful thing to be able to write on the American Thanksgiving day.
