"Yokohama Mirror Glass" by Erik Kaye, copyright 2010

“This is my third painting of this view, slightly unfinished. While I began the first view, construction workers covered the wall of the big Station building with tarps and completely renovated the wall, changing the outer facing with mirrorglass. I just had to paint the contrast of the geometric rooftop structures and the distorted psychedelic reflections on the glass. Glass is actually classified as a liquid.”
