UNTAMED
poem by Chris Arcus, copyright 2013
She goes where she pleases
She waits there for no one
She is as untamed and wild
As a deer fleeing headlights
Today she asks for marriage
Tomorrow she belongs to no one
the funeral train has left
ashes in its wake
for no one.
